When we decided to make face coverings in May 2020, we knew we couldn't charge what we thought was an unreasonable amount of money for them (have you seen those $25+ masks?!), as they are something that people need. So we started at $8, offering 4 or more at a 15% discount. 

We also committed to donating one face covering for every one purchased—and that was barely covering the cost (essentially two for one on every sale)—a marginal profit. So we upped the price to $10, still offering an automatic discount when you buy more than one ($1 off of each, so $9 instead of $10 per).

Additionally, we've also offered a 15% off discount code to new customers when they sign up for our email list, a 20% off code when you write a review of your purchase, and a 30% off code if you share it to your social media network. 

This has caused confusion for new and returning customers with discount codes who have been unable to use them on purchases of two or more face coverings. We want to deliver on the promise of discount codes, and the price you expect when deciding to make a purchase. 

Alongside this realization, production prices increased as of fall 2020, and face coverings are going to be a thing for a while. As a small business, we have to raise our prices to keep the business afloat, be able to afford marketing, continue to grow, develop our products, and release new ones. 

So, we're keeping the price of $10 per face covering, but starting Wednesday, January 6, 2021, there will be no more automatic discount of $1 per face covering when you buy two or more. A slight change, but a change nonetheless. And, for those of you wanting to buy more face coverings, or any other of our products, your discount codes will work for a purchase of any amount going forward!
